How The Scholarship Works:
- Scholarship recipients will receive an award that will cover up to 100% of tuition for up to 8 semesters at BYU-Idaho.
- Scholarship recipients are required to work toward obtaining an academic scholarship.
- The scholarship will include a stipend towards rent, groceries, and personal expenses during the first two semester at BYU-Idaho.
- All scholarship recipients must obtain employment upon completion of their two semesters of studies. The students are required to cover 100% of their living expenses (rent, utilities, housing fees, etc.) after the first two semesters at BYU-Idaho.
- Scholarship recipients will be provided assistance through BYU-Idaho admission and US visa process.
- Stirling Foundation scholarship is conditional:
- Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA (average 83-86% grade of all courses taken at BYU-Idaho) in order to renew the scholarship at the end each academic year. If GPA falls below 3.0, the student will return to their home country and have the opportunity to complete an online degree from BYU-Idaho where available.
- Scholarship applicants are required to pass TOEFL or IELTS (the English proficiency exam may be taken after award notification, and the Stirling Foundation will pay for the first exam, but other benefits of the award are contingent upon passing the exam). - Scholarship recipients are required to devote a minimum of two years following the completion of their studies to the development and service of their home country or region to benefit it using their leadership and BYU-Idaho education. They will develop a personal country/region impact plan and submit it to the Stirling Foundation prior to the start of their seventh semester.
